to help you save
money and gain
efficiency in
your home energy
usage. Here’s
how we can help:
Heat Pump Loan
Program
– In cooperation
with the
Tennessee Valley

become energy
efficient while
also saving
money. With the

New Homes
Program
– This program
offers
assistance to
customers in the
planning of
energy-
efficient,
all-electric new
homes. Areas
addressed are
air
infiltration,
heating and
cooling
equipment,
insulation,
ventilation and
water heating.
Cash incentives
are paid for
homes built to
program
standards.
Green
Power Switch
- CEMC now
offers Green
Power Switch.
The "green"
refers to
renewability. It
is power
generated by
renewable
resources like
wind, solar, and
landfill
gas. You use it
today, it comes
back tomorrow,
like a growing
plant. This
program is
designed for our
customers who
want to use
renewable energy
resources to
help improve the
environment in
the community we
all share. Green
Power Switch®
can be purchased
in 150
kilowatt-hour
blocks at $4 per
block. Learn
more about Green
Power Switch® by
clicking this
item.
HVAC Sizing
Recommendations
– Residential
electric heating
and cooling
loads can be
calculated to
determine what
size HVAC system
should be
recommended.
Operating cost
comparisons for
different types
of heating and
cooling systems
are also
available upon
request.
Levelized
Payment Program
– Levelized
bills are
calculated as
the average of
the current and
previous eleven
(11) month’s
energy usage
(kWh) multiplied
by the current
CEMC residential
rate plus the
current TVA Fuel
Cost Adjustment
amount. Any
applicable
additional
charges will be
added to this
averaged amount
to calculate the
total amount
due. To enroll
in the program,
member must own
the home and
have had
continuous
service at the
home for at
least twelve
(12) months with
no returned
checks and/or
not more than
one (1) late
payment.
Life Support
– Customers who
depend on life
support
equipment may be
identified on a
priority list
for notification
of planned power
outages.
Project Help
– This is a
voluntary
program for
consumers to
contribute a
dollar or more
each month to
help the needy
with their
energy bills.
Security Lights
– The
installation and
maintenance of
various types of
security
lighting is
available for a
monthly rental
fee.
The Tennessee
Magazine
– This consumer
publication is
mailed monthly
to all
residential
consumers. A
five-page “CEMC
News” section is
written
specifically for
our members.
