We're glad you have signed up for electric service with our
cooperative.
By applying for
electric service from Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation and
by the payment of a membership fee, you are now a member/owner of
the cooperative. You join more than 89,000 members who share in CEMC
ownership in our five-county area. This is a non-profit electric
cooperative governed by a board of directors elected by the
membership.
This packet provides
information about CEMC. I encourage you to read it and keep it handy
for future reference. Should you have additional questions about
CEMC, please contact me, your local district office, or any CEMC
employee.
I encourage you to
read the monthly consumer publication, The Tennessee Magazine,
which CEMC sends its members. A five-page CEMC section is written
