Trees of Giving decorate CEMC lobbies
Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation employees invited
cooperative members to team up with them during the 2007 holiday season
in decorating the Christmas tree in their district office’s
lobby.
Instead of tinsel, garland and ornaments, the preferred
decorations were items of new winter clothing which were
donated to local charitable agencies in time for the Christmas
gift giving. Mittens, gloves, socks, scarves or other cold
weather clothing were requested. Non-perishable food items
were also donated.
Participating agencies
were:
The Bethesda Center, for the Ashland City District; Urban
Ministries, for the Clarksville District;
Good Samaritans, for the Dover District; Hendersonville
Samaritan Association, for the Gallatin District;
Portland Cares and White House Hope Center, for the Portland
District; Robertson County Food Bank and United Ministries,
for the Springfield District.
CEMC employees wish to thank all valued co-op members for
their support and making this event a success.
