What
is the FCA Charge on my bill? The FCA charge on your bill is
a fuel cost adjustment implemented by TVA .
TVA calculates and applies the Fuel Charge Adjustment as a
charge to recover fuel costs when those cost exceed what TVA
budgeted. The FCA can work in reverse – when TVA budgets more
for fuel than it actually spends, the FCA will be subtracted
from your bill. The FCA is calculated quarterly to avoid using
permanent rate hikes to offset temporary spikes in fuel costs.
CEMC is providing the itemized charge on your bill to assist you
in monitoring your energy cost.
